I noticed that the IBM (sorry Hitachi) Travelstar is now available in 80G capacity at the 9.5mm height for only 319 euros near me in Paris. Has anyone tried this drive in a Libby?

Drops right in like the older HD I have. runs fine. No problems. Quite drive.

Besides getting pretty hot after scandisk for about 1 1/2 - 2 hours continously
(about 48-52 C), it's fine for general use where it'll stay warm over the
course of normal use.

Excellent! I tried to buy one this week.

The bad news is that they had sold out. The good news is that the price went down to 289 euros.

I think 80G in a Lib is not bad given the 2.1 it started with :-)
