so soon?

if you have the LAN working, and the dial up working, then all you need to do is
set the dialup to be the default route and then get the LAN to traffic to it.

I'm not quite sure what setting up a 'default route' for dialup would entail. I just walked through the various settings for dialup connections looking for a mention of 'dialup', 'default' and 'route' and didn't see anything. The only thing I see referring to 'default' for dialup is my one dialup setup on the Internet Properties > Connections tab of Win98SE running IE 6.0

pre Win2k/XP isnt good at this job and i found that, with Windows, using
a proxy program...eg WinGate was the best solution...and it worked.
these days i have a Linux box to do this task.

'WinGate'... I'll see if I can find a copy and check it out. You say. "...it worked." Does that mean you've had success getting a 2nd system to access the Internet via dialup while networked to a primary system with the modem? I'm not that familiar with 'Proxy', but it sounds like a good lead to investigate.

unless the PCMCIA card only has one interupt, cant see why you cant do this...
havent set mine up like this..but i have a LinkSys combo which I might play with
next week ;-)

Will be interested in seeing what you come up with Alan.

Thanks,

Matt
