Let's hope that wasn't a month worth of downloading Linux over a modem ,)= !! > Slackware rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which model and what's the performance like? I've been testing Mandrake 9.2 & 10b2 here on my 800Mhz Thinkpad, but it's still a pain to get it going -- most things work fine most of the time, but some things just don't work when you expect them to. (eg. missing 1 library out of a bunch of others when installing a new application -- why it left it out.....?) It's like =almost= there, but then I go back to Windows 2000 and everything just boots faster and runs fine. Wonder if the other distributions are more stable and worth a look? Or do you guys still see the same thing -- most things work fine, but now and then, something doesn't work right, install right, etc. and just needs more tweaking and installs to get it going? =) ===== adorable toshiba libretto The latest news and information for the Toshiba Libretto owner. http://www.silverace.com/libretto/ __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
