Thank God I found this list. Here's the deal-dropped the little guy and a small piece popped off the back. I then booted it up and everything was fine for a few days....
Wanted to check processor speed-followed take apart procedure on adorable libretto. Put it back together and booted-nothing but a brief flash. Then, nothing. Sooo, took apart, put back together-nothing. Power lights light, hard drive clicks-lcd dead. Connections all tight....
I'm distraught-wife will kill me if I buy another one.....HELP!!
Sean
Hey Sean... Tell us a little more about what the system does now when it attempts to boot. From what you wrote, it seems like the screen doesn't display anything at all at boot. If that's the case it may be a bad sign, though there's a chance reseating its cable(s) may get it going. If there's an error message displayed, sometime reseating the extended RAM card can get things going. Though when you say 'Connections all tight", it sounds like you've already gone the reseating route.
I actually had a fuse blow on my L70 MB, and Neil had me solder some fuse wire across the case of the tiny component to get the LCD to light up again. Maybe he'll chime in here if it sounds like a possibilty.
Matt
