I'm using Drive Image V4, haven't seen the need to upgrade yet. And yes, I
(almost) always use the same method, launching DI from Windows. DI V4 runs
from DOS, so it exits Windows and does its thing. I am running DI V4 on my
L100CT with EZDrive, but on other PCs w/no overlay. I have yet to encounter a
problem caused by either Partition Magic or DI, I luv'em.

No partitioning from PM boot floppies, that I recall, anyway.

Sticking with working from within Windows, and Windows DOS is probably a good way to go, and may be part of why you haven't experienced the problems I've run into. If a system just refuses to boot off the HDD needing attention, and there's no other system to drop the drive into, then there's the problem of taking into consider that drive overlay is installed when partitioning of imaging drives.

That said, I can't say I've ever had any problems with PM when hitting Ctrl at the EZ-Drive prompt, booting a PM FD, and making modifications to partitions.

However Ghost is another story. Depending on how I've started ghost, from within Windows dropped to a DOS window/screen, booting to DOS or dropping to DOS from Windows and running it from a partition on the HDD, or booting from a FD and running from the FD, I've seen Ghost report a number of different configurations for the same drive. At that point drive overlay really complicates and confuses things.

But I'm still at this problem of booting my 100CT from FD reliably now that I fixed the problems with its 20GB HDD in a desktop. No solutions popping up yet, and the system probably only boots from FD 10-15% of the time, and then only on a boot FD without a lot of files to load.
