I remember you got a new CD-R/RW drive Had the Sony Discman and Panasonic Cd-ROM models first, then upgraded to the HP M820e, which worked fine for me, then tried a friend's Sony PCGA-CD51 PCMCIA CD-ROM drive, a Sony PCGA-CDRW52 CD-RW, and finally, am on the Sony CRX75A PCMCIA CD-RW. All of them installed fine, had DOS drivers, worked fine in both DOS & Windows 98SE, and the burner models burned just fine. Never had a problem with any of these working for me on my L110. Today, I'd either get a Sony CRX75A CD-RW or perhaps one of the PCMCIA powered EXPNET.COM portable CD-RW or DVD-RW drives that don't require an external AC adapter. The latter have always gone for quite a price above the other drives, so I haven't bought into one yet -- the cheaper alternatives work okay for me, and I've never had to use the CD drive on the road yet, luckily. But the EXP drives can be quite nice since you don't have extra power things to carry about. ===== adorable toshiba libretto The latest news and information for the Toshiba Libretto owner. http://www.silverace.com/libretto/ __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
