Are you sure?, sure? I never used 98, but I also never saw such a behaviour
in 95; now using 2000 Pro. I've a 100CT and a Sony LCD external display;
both screens give the same image, or you can interchange them, but with same
size/resolution.
In fact, I think the external one replicates what is sent/seen to/at the
internal, as my Lib screen has a problem -after replacing the broken
original one, alas!, by a Toshiba approved Technical Service, who never
found the solution!- which I also do see on the external!

If you do find a solution to your problem, justa tell us, I think it would
be interesting.
