Subject: Network XP Desktop to Libby?
Bringing up the rear, I've finally gotten WinXP
installed on a desktop next to my Libby. But
networking the 2 is still something that escapes me,
just as it did last year when I tried this.
I ran the XP Networking wizard to create a connection
to an existing LAN. At the end it had me create a FD
to run on any Windows 9x systems on the LAN. So I ran
the file Netsetup.exe on my 70, and now my Norton
Personal Firewall is going nuts with rundll.exe trying
to access the Interent. I've blocked it for the time
being. Anyone know how to correct that?
So now XP is reporting that the network connection to
the workgroup configured on the 70 is active and
supposedly connected. But neither system has any
shared drives reported in Network Neighborhood.
Anyone have any idea what's going on here?
Thanks,
Matt
