Win98 will see it, but unless you install overlay, partitioning software, at least Partition Magic, will not be able to see the entire drive properly.
If you image the drive with software like Norton Ghost, you need to run it with the appropriate switch. See archives on this.
just be sure to put a 50MB free space at the end of
the drive since if the bios ever hibernates the drive it'll see it as a 8 gig and write the data to
the end of it.
Really! Huh... that's interesting. I was under the impression that there was no way of getting around the Libby's BIOS hibernation function that wants to write over the area at 8GB on >any< drive.
