By that, do you mean you've never tried partition modifications with ez-drive + PM on the Libretto? You're not saying you've had problems trying that, are you? Do you partition from DOS or Windows on your desktop? And what software are you using to partition with? So you must uninstall EZ-Drive when you resize on the desktop, yes? I know you're an advocate of using EZ-Drive, so you must have had it installed at some point when you did partitioning modifications on a Lib HDD. I'm leaning towards the method of >always< removing EZ-Drive and partitioning in a desktop, as the methods I've been using in the past seem to lead to disaster all too frequently. I wonder if I've the only one who's had PM lock up running on a Libretto with EZ-Drve installed, and booted from a floppy. > Usually, if I need more space, > I'll backup the whole thing to > CD-R discs, then nuke the partition and restore from > CD-Rs. I've had good results myself restoring OS images made immediately after the OS is installed and tweaked. But I'd like to get hold of a Win98SE image for my 70 that doesn't crash all the time. I used to have no problems on my 70 with the older Win98 without SE. Maybe SE runs better on the 100/110s, but it was a nightmare on my 70, and I'm glad to move on to W2000 on a 110. > In PM, you may also want to see if there are any > settings for turning off > direct HD access, using the ez-drive's logical > access instead.... I'll check that. Thanks. Matt __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail - Helps protect you from nasty viruses. http://promotions.yahoo.com/new_mail
