I was recently going through the list of mini-notebooks (Libretto U100, etc.) to see what was available for upgrading from my L110, but nothing really caught my eye. U100 screen didn't fold 180 degrees, others were too big or limited in battery life, and I still love the feeling of the pen drawing on the Toshiba R15 screen (tabletpc). Well, in the middle of searching, the FlyBook did come up - but at $2000 for a Taiwanese import that didn't have hardly any support in the USA, forget that (despite a very juicy glossy red cover model). Happily, came across the Fujitsu P1510 that will (hopefully) be released on time Aug 8th. http://www.handtops.com/show/news/105 It's amazing to see everything new + a touch screen squeezed into a 2lbs package similar to the L110. What has me saving up to buy one right away? - the unconfirmed starting price of $1399! Definitely would make the P1510 an immediate buy at this price for me (assuming nothing else it 'wrong' with the unit), and possibly, one of the most flexible new mini-notebook alternatives to what is already out on the market today! Swivel screen = roaming GPS map for car & walking about, easy to watch DVD player, PDA killer, etc. etc. This would definitely take care of the need a GPS + PDA + mini-notebook + paper pad for me, and allow me to wrap everything into a 2lbs TabletPC notebook. --- FUJITSU LIFEBOOK P1510 -Intel Centrino mobile technology -Intel Pentium M 753 Dothan Processor 1.2GHz (Ultra Low Voltage) w/2MB L2 cache -Intel 915GMS Mainboard Chipset -512MB DDR2 MicroDIMM @400MHz (PC3200 memory) expandable to 1GB -8.9 Wide SXGA TFT LCD (1024x600 @ 24-bit Color) -Intel 915GMS Video Chipset w/maximum 128MB shared Video RAM -Optional USB FDD -Optional USB Optical Drive -60GB U/DMA100 S.M.A.R.T.
