Wintop was very simplistic and limited. Quite some time back I was seeing the system slow up for some unexplainable reason, and wintop showed nothing unusual running. I hunted around and tested a bunch of shareware before settling on TaskInfo2000. That version was actually freeware. I think the newer versions are shareware. But it provides seemingly endless info on running apps.. more that I can fathom. Maybe it's still out there on the net somewhere. I have it archived if anyone would like to try it.

Subject: Windows 95 Task Monitor

Someone mentioned they were looking for a task monitor similar to task manager in XP but for earlier versions of Windows. Microsoft actually produced one for Windows 95 which I have installed and used. I don't have an exact link but the program was called WinTop, and shows a dynamic list of processes and cpu usage.
