eh, I'm still on Win98SE + Zonealarm 2.6.blah + patches + mcafee 4.03 av +
seamonkey on my L110 with 64MB of RAM.

Luckily, it all still runs fast enough that I'm still using it for email and
browsing, and it does the job fine.

The HD does make a difference, so if you upgrade to a fast 7200rpm 9.5mm 2.5"
HD, you will see faster performance. This would be the 2nd upgrade after
you've maxed out the RAM to 64MB.

Other than that, I think that even W2K may be too slow with the latest SP4 due
to all of that 'junk' they threw into it vs. the first release. Not much you
can do about that except follow the various turn-off-services-in-w2k guides and
see if that'll help.

Slow PCs are well,.... just that, slow.

The difference between the L100 and L110 is noticable due to the faster
processor on the L110. Those that have overclocked their L100 do notice this
and it makes it a lot nicer once they're at 233Mhz/266Mhz.

This is not a supported modification, so do it at your own risk of losing the
libretto entirely.
