Hi Meir, 1) Last time I timed the battery life they lasted about 2 hours, but that was about 4 years ago! I have three batteries made for it, and one that fits it but is bigger, made for some other Toshiba laptop. 2) The keyboard has mostly English characters, with some Japanese. Some characters are hard to find, such as a colon. 3) Here are some pictures: http://www3.toshiba.co.jp/pc/catalog/ff/ff1100v/index_j.htm <http://www3.toshiba.co.jp/pc/catalog/ff/ff1100v/index_j.htm> http://www.libretters.net/libretto/ff/ http://www.libretters.net/libretto/ff/#1100 Mine looks just like the ones in the pictures except for the wear spots. I have used it quite a bit, never any problems. 4) Probably not. If you know anyone coming to the US I could ship to them and they could bring it back. I would trust that more than international shipments for computer equipment. But if you pay enough I will ship! Actually, I have no idea what it would cost to ship to Israel, but have tried to ship to Turkey before and it tripled the price of books for my friends in Turkey if I bought them here and shipped. I told them to wait until I traveled to Turkey and it worked out fine. No plans on traveling to Israel anytime soon though! 5) Make me an offer. The machine has served me well. I have never tried to put linux on it, or WXP. It is dual boot W98 and W2K, 128 MB memory, which is the max it can take. Feel free to contact me offlist. I live in Austin, TX, USA.
