It does look interesting.

It works as long as a minority of people use it, lets say less than 10%.  If this became standard, then the bots would work around it, eg spam to thousands of sites in parallel, so that the time between page reads falls from milliseconds to five minutes.

A blacklist has the advantage that even if everyone uses it and knows about it, there's no obvious way around it.  The whole point of the spam bots is to post a link to a website, a specific website, and therefore we can block that.
