Very true. The people complaining are those that have based businesses on
basically selling what amounts to the 3D equivalent of a JPEG on a web page.
I can right-click on a web page and save any image I want, but the site
doesn't shut down because they actually have a _compelling_ application with
a backend or content that goes beyond the JPEG.

People either have to learn how to make stuff beyond "shoes" and "hair" (i.e.
something with more value than a JPEG), or give up on the platform, cuz
those people just don't get it.

I just started using sl about a week ago and was thinking man I hate
having
to use this crappy closed source solution - then I heard about copybot and
all the press its getting, someone says "You can copy prims with it

work!" and my only thought was "who cares it's a freaking game!" on top of
that its open GL I am sure any moron could copy your crap out to maya if
they wanted. I wanted to find out what was the source of all the bad press
on such a wonderful project. I keep running across one s/n "Kage Starr"
him
and his goons seen to think your work is worthless. I am here to say its
not
and I am glad that its being done. Hopefully the project will gain helpers
as more and more programmers like me hear about libsl.

bad press is still press.
