SFTP buffer issue status?

Wondering what the status is for the issue with SFTP transfers and  
buffer size over 1k.  Has there been any progress, or is there  
anything I can do to offer help debugging or getting data for this  
problem?  I'd love to help try to get it solved, though not so good at  
actually understanding the libssh2 internals to actually work on the  
code.
