You can start a custom subsystem with libssh2_channel_process_startup().
Something like:
libssh2_channel_process_startup(handle, "subsystem", 9,
"my-subsystem", 12);
You can probably check out the sftp.c code to get inspiration, since SFTP is a
subsystem.
