It is not a GNU ld flag, it is a libtool flag, and it has been around since 1999 in version 1.2f according to the libtool's NEWS file. I have been using it in several packages for a long time without problems. How about adding it and see if we run into problems? It would solve Debian's symbol packaging concern. /Simon ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Open Source Business Conference (OSBC), March 24-25, 2009, San Francisco, CA -OSBC tackles the biggest issue in open source: Open Sourcing the Enterprise -Strategies to boost innovation and cut costs with open source participation -Receive a $600 discount off the registration fee with the source code: SFAD http://p.sf.net/sfu/XcvMzF8H _______________________________________________ libssh2-devel mailing list libssh2-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/libssh2-devel
