If even > *IRIX* does it ... :) Well, we might consider changing that, if we find no compiler that disobeys this rule; I don't *know* offhand of a counter example, to be honest. We'd just need to check all Fortran, C, C++, compilers, gcj, Portland, IBM. Besides the OSes you mentioned, all w32 are missing; since a msvc update is pending, that one should work as well, also windres. Also a couple of rarer used ones, plus of course a bit older releases.
