Yeah. I'm with you two, too, here. I actually *meant* to change this as well, but forgot to then. :-/ HOWEVER. It changes what we put in .lo and .la files. It changes what func_lalib_p looks for when it tries to match .la files. Bad bad bad. And because I have no desire to debug that code *now*, I'm withdrawing the patch, and actually opposing it pre 2.0. I hope you don't mind. Sorry, Ralf
