Thanks, Peter; your validation on msvc is useful and encouraging.  Now
I'm just waiting for a go/no-go from one of the four libtool
maintainers: Gary Vaughan, Peter O'Gorman, Ralf Wildenhues, or Bob
Friesenhahn.

Status:
