I'm sorry if these are naive questions, I'm new to libtool.

Could someone please explain the motivation behind the
multi-language-branch?

What does it mean "...to allow a single libtool script to simultaneously
support several different compilers/languages."?
Do I need to install libtool twice if I'm using it for both C and C++?
Is this a libtool configure time or a libtool runtime change?
Does using automake/autoconf alleviates the need for this branch? i.e.
generating the proper libtool script.

I'm about to work on a fix regarding my "limiting dynamic symbols" mail
and I was going to use the main trunk when I saw this other branch.
Maybe I should make this patch to the multi-language-branch?

Thanks,
Allen
