Automake has hard-coded references to ltconfig, and libtool no
longer uses ltconfig=(O| I committed a workaround for libtool's
configure in the small hours of this morning. I have added some notes
on how to make your installed automake compatible with the new CVS
HEAD of libtool.
I just sent a patch to the automake list, which *might* make it
compatible with the new libtool (I don't know if there are any other
issues since I use automake-1.4 myself).

Eek!

I have autoconf-2.13 installed myself, since I think that it is
important that libtool remains compatible with the current stable
release. I have no idea why CVS autoconf is so upset about the
removal of ltconfig =(O| There were some small issues with the
initial commit which I believe are all fixed now, but I definitely
didn't forget to commit anything...
