Because otherwise what would libtool's reaction to being passed
--disable-static at configure-time and -static at compile time be?+ libtool -mode=compile -static... libtool sits down and starts singing about gold... ? Scott -- Have you ever, ever felt like this? Had strange things happen? Are you going round the twist?
