Thanks for the bug report. Please rerun the tagdemo tests verbosely, as described in README. I bet though that this issue is fixed with the patch in http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/libtool-patches/2006-02/msg00021.html which went into branch-1-5 after 1.5.22 was out.
