Documentation help is always appreciated. However, there are a number of pending patches specifically for the linux->cygwin and linux->mingw cross cases that are still outstanding. These patches, once reviewed and accepted, will change in some ways the "right" way to do a cross build for these $hosts. (Mostly, they *should* help make it "just work" like it does for other $build/$host combinations). But don't let that stop you from contributing documentation that is accurate for *existing* libtool. It's always easier to update documentation to reflect changes than to create it from scratch.
