That means we would still have to do it in the application.

Maybe in the future, we'll have a libusbX filter driver, which is
installed once, and not for each device.

Currently I there is only the first patch-set I sent to spice-devel 
mailing list.
When accepted it will live in  spice-gtk git repo.

Arnon sent an email about the usb-installation service (usbclerk, based 
on libwdi) to this list.
The only thing our application is doing to install a libusb driver is to 
request
the service to install a libusb driver for a specific device, and wait 
for status.
