Which is explained in the 3rd paragraph of the of the link provided at [1]... Obviously, we can't use "WinUSB device" for something that applies to other device drivers. > That can help for finding their info about the MODs (special string > descriptors) and the special control request needed. All of which I is detailed, often in greater depth than the MS docs, on the WCID wiki page... Maybe you think that the reason I keep linking to that page has to do with self promotion, but that's not the case. I just spent a great deal of time making sure the content was exhaustive with examples, traces and whatnot. Also, the links to the MS docs, which shouldn't really be needed once someone has churned though the wiki data, are provided at the end of the page. If you believe that the WCID wiki page is missing data that needs to be fetched from elsewhere, by all means let me know. > What was the Windows Update situation again? Did you mention that > MS rolled out WinUSB Device support via Windows Update for Windows 7 > or was that just a dream? 4th paragraph. No offence but could you please make sure to read any content already pointed before asking questions? Once again, your actions could be construed as trolling, due to unwarranted depreciation of somebody else's content (by inaccurately making it appear a lot less exhaustive than it is) or by asking them to repeat themselves (is it so hard to search for messages mentioning WCID in the title [2]?).
