If there are another Mac OS X maintainer, that would be good. On the
other hand, libusb-1.0 and libusbx share many similar codes. So if
Nathan can fix the codes in libusb-1.0, then I think most likely
the fixes can be incorporated into libusbx.

I think libusb-1.0 and libusbx are already the leading cross-platform
USB libraries, libusb-0.1 (or libusb-compat) is probably still more
popular but more and more new projects move to libusb-1.0 API.
