As am I.

Every time I try to use a portable API, I seem to get painted into a corner
where the so-called portable API doesn't do quite the same thing on
different operating systems. I end up defining an interface that does what
I want and do different implementations for different operating systems.
(Though I don't think the libusb 1.0 API the way I've used it is a
problem.)
