The reason I start to test this one is because that some people in OpenOCD would like to get the filter driver to work with FT2232x (USB composite device) so that they can use OpenOCD along with other tools which depend on FTD2xx API and FTDI's vendor driver. In that case, using the filter driver is more convenient than switching driver back and forth. Reference: http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.lib.libusbx.devel/1309 The solution there fixed the issue with the device driver mode of libusb-win32 kernel driver (libusb0.sys). The problem is that the filter driver will not change the device GUID of an existing driver.
