Yes. You should contact ASMedia to see if they have solution for
this problem or not. If usbview does not work, most likely libusbx
will not work either since both of them use many similar standard
Windows setupapi calls to enumerate and get the properties from
USB device.

That does not mean much since they may not need that much
information from the device if compared to USBView and libusbx
Windows backend.

If you have access to Windows 8, you can try that. Windows 8
has native USB 3.0 support.
