New feature of the Windows 8.1 (native) upgraded drivers: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/dn303354%28v=vs.85%29.aspx#usb_wdk
Maybe this was mentioned elsewhere, but I don't remember seeing it. Also confirmed from my 8.0 and 8.1 platforms: the 8.1 version of winusb.dll (v6.3.9600.16386 dated 2013.08.22) has the WinUSB isoc symbols, whereas the 8.0 version of winusb.dll (v6.2.9200.16384 dated 2012.07.26) doesn't. While I was at it, I downloaded WDK 8.1 (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/hardware/gg454513#drivers) to see if the WinUSB redistributables had been updated in any way, and lo and behold, what's provided there is still the obsolete crap from 2006: just open one of the the winusbcoinstaller DLL with 7-zip and have a look at the winusb sys|dll. With Microsoft not helping in the slightest, I have no idea how I'm gonna go around providing an updated version of the drivers in Zadig, that support ISOC, for Win7 users, as, regardless of what Microsoft chooses, this'll probably be a much desired feature. By the looks of it, we may have to repackage the coinstaller DLLs in an unofficial manner or something... Unfortunately, it's also become quite obvious that I have no choice but to drastically cut on the amount of development I invest in libusb/libusbx. So, just to make that clear, don't expect any WinUSB ISOC implementation from me for the Windows backend - Unless I can ditch my day job, it'll will have to come from somebody else. Same goes for USB-3 bulk streams (for what is worth, I'm not even going to bother trying to look at it) or any new Windows backend related development for that matter. Now, while we're on the subject, some of you may remember that some time ago, we also inquired about the device Microsoft used to test their USB 3.0 stack. Well, that device, which is called "Super MUTT" and unsurprisingly revolves around an EZ USB FX3 controller, is available for purchase from JJG Technologies: http://jjgtechnologies.com/mutt.htm I'm currently trying to play with the available downloads from the site to see if I can convert the FX3 device I have into a SuperMUTT. Not sure if this is going to work as the SuperMUTT device appears to have a 2MB EEPROM, whereas the FX3 kit has a smaller one.
