But when using mplayer with h.264 support i get this error ...:
H.264 decoding is only supported on Intel HD Graphics at this time. IIRC,
I have a patch for run-time detecting that (instead of the assert) hanging
somewhere at home. I will check this out. This simply makes sure to not
report H.264 on plain old G45 hardware.
I don't know if Intel still plan to support older G45 chipsets. My
opinion, would be to focus on partial VP8 acceleration or VC-1 support on
Intel HD Graphics, which is current HW.
