I have been using the libva for the past two months

says the latest version is 0.31. I want to use it for nvidia. Please
tell what is the difference between the two.

The libva packages I host are those we use internally. They no longer diverge with the upstream repository, aside from some G45 bits. Since you use an NVIDIA driver, the upstream version will work equally well, provided you use at least version 1.0.3. e.g. use 1.0.7 and you will be OK. Likewise for vdpau-video, please use the latest 0.7.3.pre4.

Gwenole.
