Worked for me. $ rpm -q qemu qemu-1.4.0-2.fc18.x86_64 $ /usr/bin/qemu-system-x86_64 --version QEMU emulator version 1.4.0, Copyright (c) 2003-2008 Fabrice Bellard Maybe there is a missing dependency in the spec file, for a library which I happen to have installed already but which you did not have installed. Cole did the qemu build, perhaps he has more ideas of what debugging to attempt next.
