Does anyone know how to test for the bandwidth from a machine to a second machine? I understand that Net::Ping will do this. However, ping messages are of 64 bytes and the round time is 100 ms for an example. According to my calculation, 64/(100/1000) will get me 640 bps. It is round trip, assuming the speed is the same for both ways, it will be 1280 bps. Is this how it is done? Any help is appreciated.
