Well I have been contacted by quite a few good programmers.
However most seem to think it's a bigger project than it is.
First, this is not the first system I have done.
My first one was a simple mail list creation tool.
Now this is important....
This program is aimed at people who do not...
Know perl
Know programming
Know Unix
Know how to set up permissions on their web site.
Know how to Create HTML pages
and the fact is that the above covers almost 80% of Web Site
owners.
Those people who would like to have a quiz system but would not
know how to change it or set it up.
This program does it all
It allows ANYONE to create a quiz or survey, set the scoring
get emailed the results, change a single question or all questions,
use text, radio button, list or any type of answering method. It will
create the HTML and then,,, now get this... UPLOAD to any
FTP Capable Web Site, and set up permissions in a single
key stroke.
Why not use a cgi script to do this,
they would need to be online, while they did it,
change the script they would not know how if they wanted to,,,,,
CGI for windows you say,,, most don't know how.
Many reason for doing it this way.....
So again I say....
I will create the GUI in Delphi, it's almost done know,
when I request a module, I will need an html to test it
with, then I will convert add it to the existing code.
I will supply a list of variables that will need to be consistany
followed for uniformity through out the script as mode modules are added.
I expect most of the modules to take two hours or so, with the exception
of the HTML generator and the answer processor.
Some of the modules could be found on CPAN and tweeked to
work, or as the programmer seen fit.
I would not expect any one to think of this as a big contract, it's just
an on-the side job, a few hours a day.
