I have seen the exact same error, and on more than one
LWP-based Perl script I've written. I wish I could
tell you how I got around it, but each time it was
by luck or brute force, not by identifying the source
of the problem and fixing.

If you or any others on this list know what 'broken pipe'
error indicates, and/or how to resolve the error, *please*
do post it here.

One other more minor item is a bug I've seen, when you
give the parallel calls a URL that has uppercase in
the domain name. When the big-kahuna LWP wait call is
over and you go look at all your pages you've recieved,
you won't find that one, because the LWP calls modified
your original URL, lowercasing the domain name.
Has anyone else seen this problem, or that this has
already been documented?
