Hi,
My name is Nick and I finally convinced sysadmin to install the libwww,
http-form-request, robot and other few modules. Now I would like to find
out some documentation about each of them. I mean, I know I should use
man, but I could use it only for the LWP/libwww. So, is there any command
to use for finding out which are the modules installed/available ? How can
I find out documentation and quoted examples ?
I also have problems with the documention in POD format. I would like to
find a way to translate the POD documents into the HTML or txt formats. I
tried the pod2html command, but with no success (probably because I
couldn't find the right use for it). Can you help me with this ?
It would mean a lot to me if any of you could take his/her time and help
me to learn programing/using the libwww, sitemapper,
robot,http-form-request and other tools like these ones. How can I find
related docs and tutorials ?
What I wanna do is to build scripts that run on my server and browse the
web from link to link (recursively within 5..n levels) in search of email
addresses and keywords/expressions that appear in those documents. For
example I submit a search on a search engine like yahoo or altavista. Take
ALL the web sites, scan them to gather email addresses and other specific
information (contact information : ICQ, phone, mail and other info). It is
crucial for me to do that, because it would spear me of thousands of hours
of web browsing and it could save my life. It is extremely important to me
to find people that I can work with, people to share ideas, make business
and develop friendship with, but the search it is to time taking. For
example, I cannot just look at all of the responses that I get from a
search engine, but a script could do that for me.
Another thing that I wanna do is to find a soulmate. I am just 20 (I feel
like 60) and it's pretty hard for me to find a TRUE love. Two or 3 years
ago I said to myself that I shouldn't limit myself seeking only for ladies
that I can connect/meet in every day's life, because somebody that I could
be happy with may live some where else. I could find her by using those
web sites like personals.excite.com, personals.exite.com, but right now I
cannot know how to :
-fill out forms, push buttons and submit searches
-to search for a specific word/s and memorize them in a variable/file
-to send a message from a file using a form from a webpage
-to gather the urls from a html file
-handle the responses and possible errors
Can anyone of you be of help ? I know that I ask lots of questions and
it would take time of you, but just tell me that you can and will help me
so that I can write you on your personal address and to not bother the
list.
