I see now the problem with the term "session" -- the RFC doesn't mention a distinctive word describing a "browser session" (from browser startup to browser shutdown) but instead seems to mean "stateful interaction" by the term "session". I like both suggestions -- or we could go a completely different route by calling it ... drumroll ... useragent_shutdown().
