Well, I personally support Google wholeheartedly, but I don't think they
would mind what you are doing as long as you aren't meta-searching or
performing some service available to the public.

That being said, they are likely using a fingerprinting method. Each browser
tends to always send certain headers with requests and may respond to
certain response headers in certain ways. Simply watch the header exchange
of your favorite browser, and duplicate it. A tool like tcpdump or ethereal
can make this process easy.
