I tried to install the libwww-perl-package (version 5.69) and got some failed tests; like:
robot/ua..............ld.so.1: /usr/local/bin/perl: fatal: relocation error: file /home/math/rroggenb/harvest/harvestNG/perl/sun4-solaris/auto/Compress/Zlib/Zlib.so: symbol perl_get_sv: referenced symbol not found
robot/ua..............dubious
Test returned status 0 (wstat 9, 0x9)
DIED. FAILED tests 1-7
Failed 7/7 tests, 0.00% okay
local/autoload-get....ld.so.1: /usr/local/bin/perl: fatal: relocation error: file /home/math/rroggenb/harvest/harvestNG/perl/sun4-solaris/auto/HTML/Parser/Parser.so: symbol perl_get_hv: referenced symbol not found
local/autoload-get....dubious
Test returned status 0 (wstat 9, 0x9)
Both with these errors related packages (Compress-Zlib 1.22 and HTML-Parser 3.31) I installed just before. All errors are about the missing perl_get_sv and perl_get_hv).
In a discussion at comp.lang.perl.modules Tassilo v. Parseval found a workaround for that problem: renaming of perl_get_* to Perl_get_* in Zlib.xs and Parser.xs.
But thats only a ugly workaround.
Hope that these information are helpful (and the feedback is helpful for me).
Greetings
Robert
