i'm writing piece of code for reverse-proxy server.
i need to be able to fetch a webpage with given address (let's say:
http://www.depesz.pl/personal.php) but - send the request to another
server.
i.e.
www.depesz.pl happens to be 217.17.46.135
and i want this request to be sent to 10.2.1.7.
i *could*:
1. modify /etc/hosts
2. make another dns server which gives another answers
3. add ServerAlias in all virtuals which name resolves to my "internal"
ip.
all of this would solve the problem, but in rather inelegant way.
i would like to be able to do more or less this:
use LWP::Simple;
my $q = get_from("http://www.depesz.pl/personal.php";, '10.2.1.7');
yet, browsing the docs, and even looking at the code doesn't let me do
it. any ideas it this is possible at all?
