Hi,

Is anyone out there successfully using libxml-ruby on Win32? I _was_
pretty sure the answer was 'yes' but I still see a few people in the
forums and on blogs saying that they just can't get it to work. The
problem is, I really don't have the facilities (i.e. an available win32
machine) to test this, or to work on any problems that might exist, so I'd
like to know if anyone else has had success with it.

Going on from that, for 0.4 I'd really like to be able to claim win32
compatibility out of the box, and have it as easy as possible to install
over there. I gather though that it's something of a nightmare compiling
extensions on win32, so perhaps we should provide precompiled binaries
that will work with the one-click ruby installer? Or Mingw32? Or something
else?

Obviously that would rely on having someone willing to take new release
candiates, test them, and either report back or compile up the binaries (I
tried cross-compiling but can't get it to find the dependencies properly
for some reason) - any takers on that?

Cheers,
