I have been getting some odd lock-ups from the old version of libxml (Debian testing, claiming to be version 0.3.8-1). The odd thing is that the app stops in an uninterruptible state yet consumes no resources.
From the behaviour I would guess it is stuck on a semaphore or some such thing but I can't imagine why that would be. Running under gdb prevents the problem from manifesting. I assume this is just another incarnation of the various memory issues but I thought I'd a) report it; b) see if anyone had an suggestions. __ Marc
