For ICQ, invisibility is set in addition to your status. So, for it to
be properly shown to the user, it needs an overlay to the status icon.
This needs to be fixed at some point.

Each protocol can have a different status, so each protocol instance
needs its own icon.

2) just forget about the stripping text status.

We would have to show text for each protocol instance though, as they
may differ. We could, in theory, add text for the case when they are
the same, but I think this is a bad design decision.

The correct decision is getting icon overlays working.
