I agree that the errors need fixing at the protocol level, however:

1.  The devs are busy, so it may be some time before the errors are fixed,
2.  The user can not do anything about the error

Given these facts, I vote (as a user) for disabling the error messages.
Please change these to logs or make it a debug option to have them enabled;
for normal use they are just annoying.

There is a whole bunch of error messages by MSN regarding errors with
pictures. I think those have to be fixed but not just disabled.

BTW, I often see the following in the network log window during the
startup:

15:38:52: [MSN] Server found at 207.46.109.26:1863.
15:38:53: [MSN] Authenticating to 65.54.183.192:443
15:38:54: [WRN] SSL_connect error -1, SSL_5
15:38:54: [MSN] SSL connection failed.

However, the following attempt is always succesful. Well, for me. :-)
