Errrr... I thought that it is possible to write just this one option...
Am I wrong with this?

You change one option, but in FlushFile, the entire buffer gets
written to a new file, then if it is ok the new file is renamed to the
original file name. Resulting in a write of the entire file, and
another system call.. just to update one part of the file.
